Due to a rich career he has focused in developing a deep knowledge base which includes Corporate and Investment Banking skills, Private Investment, International Financial Advisory and Fund Management Services , Business Development, Sales & Marketing and various entrepreneurial activities in South East Asia and Australia. Director of several corporations in a partner or shareholder role, he is involved in setting up operations for a number of multinationals all over the world (Australasia, Africa, Middle East, and Latin America).

"What I bring as a business expert dealing with China"
An Australian citizen with a rich international background, I have lived in 14 countries and worked in the Asia-Pacific region for most of my life, including 16 years in Beijing.
My fascination with the world and its rich and diverse cultures, saw me pursue a 26-year career as an International Senior Banker and Multinational Corporate Specialist with Bank Indosuez, BNP Paribas, and State Bank of NSW. These high-level roles allowed me to live and work in Malaysia, Polynesia, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Nepal, Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, and Thailand.
The last twenty years have seen me concentrate my time and business interests between Australia and China, whilst maintaining strong connections to other parts of the world and in particular Europe, Africa, The Middle East, and the United States
What differentiates me from the academics, and foreign policy experts is the depth of my on-the-ground knowledge and experience as well as my vast network. This includes strong relationships with high net worth investors, global Sovereign Wealth Funds and Family Offices, Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Banks, Merchant Banks, Private Equity and Global Corporates.
I have close personal contacts in China, Hong Kong and Singapore, and am in the confidence of CEOs and decision-makers at the highest level. I have been a trusted aide who has enabled acquisitions by bringing credibility and trust between the parties, helping to bridge the cultural divide and resolve communication issues, and imparting my deep knowledge of acquisitions procedures.
My experience in working with Chinese State-Owned Enterprises and Private Enterprises is unique. I have assisted many Chinese companies in China and overseas with their outbound investment and this gives me a unique understanding of how Chinese groups work and invest and how they are implementing the Silk Road and Maritime Silk Road policies in strategic markets and sectors.
In Beijing, I was a member of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and European Chamber of Commerce and participated in several working groups including Education, Energy & Resource, Healthcare, and Life Sciences. I connected with Ambassadors and Trade Commissioners and followed the projects and investments overseas to offer to the Chinese investors.
I have a deep understanding of current trends, policies, and guidelines. I have spent the last 20 years reading and researching Asia-Pacific on a daily basis, asking pertinent questions, challenging assumptions, and testing hypotheses in business and life.
